General Questions
    • Do we also make cremation memorials for people?

We do make cremation memorials and keepsakes for people on our sister site: http://www.glassremembrance.com/. You can order your products on either site for your convenience.
    • How do we ship our cremation memorials?

After placing your order with us, you will receive a kit to send us a small portion of the loved ones cremains. Handling ashes is a huge responsibility.

• This kit will contain a sterile jar labeled with a unique identifier that matches our invoice number.

• A small scoop so you can fill the jar with the cremains.

• A shipping envelope to provide the order and cremains to create your personal tribute

Once we receive your kit we process each order. Only one piece of glass is created at a time and the facility is cleaned thoroughly between orders.

After 8-10 weeks your order will be shipped insured.
    • Can we make our pet cremation memorials in colors that are not listed?

Everything we make is custom. If you are interested in a specific color that is not listed we can accommodate your request.
    • How long does it take to get my glass memorial?

After we get your cremains it takes 8-10 weeks to make and ship the final tribute to you.
    • Can we make pet memorials from hair?

Hair burns up completely and does not leave an imprint. Our line of Encased Memories were created to preserve items like jewelry and flowers. We blow the sculptures with a specific opening size at the bottom. After we receive your precious keepsake, we place it inside a hollow chamber in the sculpture and seal it closed with a special U.V. light-activated glass epoxy; preserving your unique memorial forever.
    • How much of the cremains are needed to make a memorial keepsake?

We only use about two tablespoons of the cremains to make your tributes.
    • How do I know that it is my cremains in the glass memorial?

All our tributes come with a Certificate of Authenticity, verifying that your cremains were used while making the glass keepsake.

After an order is placed a unique identifier is assigned to the order in our computer. Your cremains collection kit will be tagged with the identifier and it will follow your memorial through the creation process until it is completed and sent back to you.
    • What do the cremains look like inside the glass memorials? Can I see them?
In each of our designs the cremains are placed in a different location. The descriptions of each product will tell you specifically where the cremains are placed. Cremains turn a beautiful white color and produce small bubbles around them in the glass.

    • What does the etching look like and how is it done?
The etching is done with a diamond tipped tool and all the words are hand written on each piece individually.
    • I have more then one pet, can I put both in one memorial?
Yes, we can not separate the ashes into separate parts of the memorials, but we can mix two sets of ashes together in one memorial or piece of cremation jewelry.
    • In some pieces the swirl of white ash looks far more white and dense than in others why is this?
Generally speaking, this has to do with the quality of the cremains. Unfortunately, sometimes we get some that make for a denser set of bubbles.
Cremation Jewelry Questions
    • How is the cremation jewelry made and why is it the same price as the memorials if it is so much smaller in size?
Please see our cremation jewelry page for the description of the process.
    • What are the bails and jewelry parts made out of for the cremation jewelry?
All of the bails and jewelry parts are all made from 24k gold and sterling silver, plated.
    • The 'dark plum' Swirling Galaxy pendent looks actually iridescent with a black background, is this correct?
It actually has a deep deep deep purple background with the iridescent glass over the top, and then encased in clear with the cubic zircons. The iridescent glass is called "dichroic glass" and was originally developed for scientific purposes, but soon started being used in art glass. Its also being used successfully in moving lights for rock n' roll shows now. This started in 1985 with the band Genesis.
